專研精緻農業，開拓國際視野

有鑑於我國觀賞魚產業已被政府列為最具國際競爭力之精緻農業，及應用地理優勢於屏東農科園區建構「亞太水族中心」。
因此，藉由結合國際知名大學師資與本校優勢水族(觀賞魚)繁養生物技術、觀賞魚水族疾病防治、生產醫學、觀賞魚運輸行銷之跨領域師資之「觀賞魚科技教學研究團隊」。
共同籌劃本校跨領域且以全英語教學之觀賞魚科技國際學位專班，並於104年5月11日奉教育部（臺教高(一)字第1040056555號）函文核定同意成立，隸屬於國際學院。而為增強學術研究領域，於107學年度起更名為「觀賞魚科技及水生動物健康國際學位專班」。
The government has designated our country’s ornamental fish industry as the most internationally competitive form of refined agriculture. Leveraging geographical advantages, we established the “Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Center” in the Pingtung. Agricultural Biotechnology Park.
By combining the expertise of internationally renowned university faculty with our school’s strengths in ornamental fish breeding, disease prevention, production medicine, and transportation marketing, we formed the “Ornamental Fish Technology Teaching and Research Team.
This team planned our interdisciplinary, all-English “International Degree Program in Ornamental Fish Technology and Aquatic Animal Health” approved by the Ministry of Education on May 11, 2015, and affiliated with the International College. In 2018, the program was renamed the “International Degree Program in Ornamental Fish Technology and Aquatic Animal Health.
